Compelled by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, we desire that all who live in our community will experience safe and attractive accommodation, opportunities for spiritual, social and cultural engagement, and convenient access to as many or as few services as their changing needs require. Our Christian faith motivates us to continually look for ways of enriching the lives of all those who join our family.
Our Core Values
We believe that hopefulness is directly linked to well-being. To that end, we are committed to creating an environment of opportunity, engagement and inspiration where mature adults can flourish.
We believe that personal choice and freedom is the differentiator between institutional living and having a home. We understand that each person is unique and has individual needs and desires. By providing flexible options we respect the need for individualism.
We believe that a sense of belonging fills an essential human need designed by God. Our objective is to build community in a way that provides space, structure and support in a family-like environment. We maintain the highest standards of openness and fairness in all of our relationships.
We believe that all people should be treated equally and with respect. We hold firmly to the biblical mandate of honoring our fathers and mothers. We commit to a culture of respect by conveying care, compassion and friendliness in all we do.
We believe in the ongoing pursuit of excellence. As a result, we attract professionals who are committed to making life better for others through their profession, skill and work ethic. We are committed to the ongoing development of personnel through continuing education and equipping them to excel in their service.
Accountability and Affordability
We believe in being good stewards of what God has entrusted to us. Through responsible, transparent management, we commit to: charging residents reasonably for services provided, compensating staff fairly for services rendered and reinvesting operational surpluses into the organization for the betterment of the community.
Residents will be aware of our service package and the associated monthly costs. They and their families will also be informed of services not covered under the basic rate and practices and policies regarding rate increases.
Residents will only be transferred or discharged from the facility for medical reasons, for the welfare of other residents or non-payment. In every case, a 90-day advance notice will be given to ensure a smooth transfer.
Voice Your Concerns
While living at this facility, all residents will be encouraged to voice any concerns and recommend changes in policies and services without any interference, coercion, discrimination or reprisal.
All residents will be provided regular updates on any financial transactions made on their behalf. Residents are also notified, in writing, at least 90 days in advance of any proposed rate increases.
Residents are free to pursue individual interests, meet with and participate in social, religious and community activities of their choice.
All residents may associate and communicate privately with people of their choice and send/receive correspondence without interference.
All residents may use their own personal possessions as safety and space permits.
Every resident is treated with consideration, respect and full recognition of his/her dignity and individuality.
“With our privately owned location in the heart of Toronto, we are able to focus completely on the intimate and immediate needs of both our residents and our staff. Our personal involvement allows us to know everyone by name, and create direct and genuine relationships with all our residents.”
